June 28th: With passports and plane tickets in hand, we headed to O'hare on Friday afternoon for our evening flight to Halifax. This was Bodhi's 4th trip, and, knock on wood, he has always been a good little traveler. Yes, at 15 months, he's very mobile and likes to run around, but we were very lucky to have a flight attendant, a mom to a 17th month old, who hooked us up with the back row of the plane and we had 4 seats to call our own.

Getting settled on the plane...our little traveler, ready for an adventure. |

We made it! Welcome to Nova Scotia, little one.
This entrance to customs clearance always provides the most pleasant experience |

June 29th: After we spent the evening in a hotel near the airport, Mema and Papa came to pick us up the next morning. On our way to Lunenburg, we made several stops at Big Box stores in crowded shopping centers to purchase necessities before retreating to the quiet seaside town for the next 10 days. |

Ahhhh, The Purple House (some folks say blue, others say periwinkle, but it will always be purple to our family.) Days of rain permeated everything, giving a super lush feel to all of the greenery and plant-life. |

These are the kind of images that typically end up in my other blog, but they paint such a perfect picture of the day we arrived at the house. While somewhat creepy, I LOVE the orange mushroom growing out of the tree stump. Fungus is just plain weird. And awesome. Also, so glad I captured the jasmine as most had fallen and faded;
this cluster smelled amazing!
What more could a kiddo want than to have a park right outside Mema and Papa's front door!
Bodhi loves the swings and was all too eager to hop right in
Swingin' in front of the big purple house!
What a perfect way to end a busy, busy day....
Mema and Papa's kitchen sink was just perfect for a Bodhi-size bathtub!
Fresh and clean ready for snuggles and snoozes.
