Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festivities 10-6-2013

Bodhi was a little young last year to fully enjoy the fall activities at a pumpkin patch, so we were really excited to start a family tradition today. We chose Sonny Acres Farm, http://www.sonnyacres.com for several reasons: a family run farm without a huge admission fee just to enter, plenty of free activities for Bodhi's age, and for a few bucks, we were able to purchase tickets to pet the animals and ride a pony. Totally worth it!  After a previous 24 hours of sporadic thunderstorms and downpours, we kept our fingers crossed for a nice, fall day; that was just what we got. Crisp and full of sunshine! Perfect!

Bodhi in his wagon, excited to see what adventures await.
Bodhi was pretty entranced by the large tractors that pulled wagons filled with passengers around the farm.

Fascinated by the goats and sheep...

Little did he know, we'd soon go to another area where we could feed and pet them!
Fall!

First stop in the petting zoo...the SOFTEST bunny on the planet!
So sweet and calm...I could have pet that rabbit all day.

Those goats can get aggressive when they want food! Bodhi found it hilarious, as did I.

Making friends with the sheep.

And then there was this super affectionate llama with a crazy underbite. She had no problem with me hugging her around her long, llama neck. Sweet llama!

A brief break from the animals meant flying around the track in snazzy convertible.

Quite proud of himself!
Back to the animals...Bodhi's first pony ride! Even though it looks like he's screaming from my death grip in the lower left photo, he was cracking up! (And I was just preventing him from sliding right off the saddle.)

Oh, that's right, we came here to look for pumpkins too.

He enjoyed the extra bumpy pumpkins as well as finding little pools of collected water in the tops of the pumpkins.

Big fan of the white ones as well...it was kinda cool that he was drawn to the extra unique pumpkins.

All tuckered out...little sleepyhead.
