We'll start at the present and go back to the beginning.
Yay!!! We have a baby finally. This is our precious little man, Bodhi Kenneth, who came into this world on March 18 at 3:02pm, after a crazy, somewhat harrowing birth adventure, but we'll get to that later. He was named after the Bodhi tree, a symbol of strength and enlightenment, with the middle name, Kenneth, to pay tribute to my dad, Papa Ken. As I type, he is snug in a Moby wrap on my chest. Initially I was not going to do a blog about our family...or if I did, it'd just be added to my art blog...but the OCD part of my brain got the best of me, and our family gets its own blog. I then wondered if it was necessary, and finally came to the realization that this might be the best, and most organized way to keep some records of our family life in this digital day and age. I have fond, vivid memories of sitting on the floor in my parents' walk-in closet and pouring over the collection of family photo albums. I still do this when I go home to visit. Admittedly, I have what is probably an unrealistic fantasy of creating the same photo album experiences for my child. I hope this will suffice as even the computer has become a veritable shoebox of digital images, and a blog is probably going to be the best way to highlight some of life's adventures that await us all.
